My Dad collected everything from Coins and Stamps to baseball cards and comic books. We had a flood and a lot of his collection was water damaged from it. This song is about that flood and my Dad's collections.

My Dad’s Got Baseball, Football, Basketball, and Bicycle, any old card –
Won’t have to look too hard ------ I’m Sure it’s floatin round here somewhere
And the John F. Kennedy Memorial Library’s right over there -----
At the bottom of the stairs --- Move it take a month of Sundays
John said “Joe we need a plan – Sure could use another set of hands”
A sense of emergency came over me and I said….

The silver certificates are drying outside – 2 dollar bills are on a table to the right
5’s and up are all over the porch – On the deck there’s more to sort
Cardboard coins with the staples on the side – dining room floor on the left to the right
Scrapbooks all about World War II – swear to God nothing he wasn’t into
Our Old man he’d put em all to Shame –-- At the Collectors Hall of Fame

He’s got Stamp Books, Coin Books, Scrap Books, and Comic Books, Every where
Man I Swear, - All this gotta go somewhere
All this Catastrophe, brought our Family, closer you see,

Stacks of Records out in the Trash

On Easter Sunday a Pump went down – Nothing open for miles around

That’s the great flood of 2010 – Hope I never have to go thru it again
14 days water pouring in – I learned a lesson or 2 back then
